Vale presented at FENS 2026

Thanks to the ALBA travel grant, I had the opportunity to attend FENS 2026 in Barcelona and present my research in a poster session. My work, titled “How the brain protects the ear from acoustic trauma: Transcriptomic changes after noise exposure,” explores the molecular mechanisms underlying the brain’s response to harmful sound exposure. By studying transcriptomic changes following noise trauma, this research aims to better understand how the nervous system contributes to protecting hearing and how these mechanisms could inform future approaches to prevent hearing loss.
